Link items in notices to a catalog

You can configure LX Starter so that, if you include items in a notice and patrons select a cover image, they go to the corresponding Resource page in the library catalog.

To disable this feature, select None from the Catalog Provider list.

To link items in notices to a catalog

  1. Select the down arrow next to your name in the upper-right section of the page.
  2. Select Library Settings.
  3. Select the Emails tab.
  4. In the Notices section, under URL for Notice Items, select a catalog provider.
  5. Do one of the following:

    Aspen
    • In the Catalog domain box, enter the domain name for your catalog.
      Example: https://sunnydays.library.org
    BiblioCore
    1. In the Catalog domain box, enter the domain name for your catalog.
      Example: https://redwoodvillelibrary.org
    2. In the Site number box, enter the site number.
      Format: “S###C”, where ### is the value provided by BiblioCommons.
      Example: S193C
    Discover
    • In the Catalog domain box, enter the domain name for your catalog.
      Example: https://vegasierra.na5.iiivega.com

       

    Encore
    None
    Other
    • In the Individual Item URL with parameter box, enter the bib record syntax to link to your catalog domain. Replace the bib record number with “$$bib_id$$”.
      Example: https://hestia.jmrl.org/findit/Record/$$bib_id$$
    • Therefore, if your catalog uses https://hestia.jmrl.org/findit/Record/100642 to link to records, use https://hestia.jmrl.org/findit/Record/$$bib_id$$.

    PowerPAC
    1. In the Catalog domain box, enter the domain name for your catalog.
    2. If you want to exclude “/polaris” from your PowerPAC catalog link, select Exclude “/polaris” in item URLs .
      If you if you want to include “/polaris” in your PowerPAC catalog link, don’t select this option.
    WebPAC
    • In the Catalog domain box, enter the domain name for your catalog.
      Example: https://grizzly-sierra.iii.com
